Matt and Laura's wedding
At the rehearsal dinner, Laura's aunts gave the girls some goodie bags to keep them busy during the dinner. They loved it! Here they are modeling their loot and getting ready to head to the pool!

Just before the wedding giving Uncle Matt a hug
It's showtime! All decked out and ready to toss some petals!
At the rehearsal, Larkin refused to walk down the aisle and cried on my shoulder. On the wedding day though, she pulled it together and loved every minute of it! At first Willa walked behind Larkin and picked up all of her fallen petals. Willa continued to toss petals all during the ceremony, while Larkin watched excitedly saying, "Uncle Matt's gonna kiss Auntie Laura! It's coming!!"
My dad officiated the wedding.
At the reception, we had to drag the girls off the dance floor-they loved dancing to the music and twirling in their dresses!
Larkin was having Cinderella flashbacks during the first dance. She said it was just like the ball in our Cinderella book, and she wanted to dance with the prince! Laura and Matt danced first, and Larkin went and got her own chair right next to the dance floor, and then watched intently during the whole dance. Then when the song ended, she yelled, "MY TURN!" and ran to Matt, who was just about to dance with my mom. The three of them danced for a little bit, and then I pulled her away (while she was crying and saying, "I just want to dance with the prince, Mommy!!") The rest of the night she had eagle eyes on Matt and was constantly trying to find him and have him hold her, dance with her, or just give her a hug.
We ended up changing their dresses midway into the dinner so that we can use the dresses again for Uncle Ryan's wedding in August!
Luckily Larkin did not catch the bouquet!! She knew all about it though. "Mommy, who ever catches it gets married next. I'm going to marry Willa. No, I think I'm gonna marry myself."
My camera was locked in a different room for most of the wedding, so I missed out on many family pictures that I had been hoping to take (the only picture of Joel I have is of his pants in the background!!). Some of these pics I copied off facebook from Laura's Aunt Kathy--thanks Kathy!!
We had a great time meeting all of Laura's family and touring around California. It was such a beautiful wedding and we're glad we were able to be a part of it!
